Only half a mile from Lay Lake, Adneyhaus Private Kennels is nestled among 20 acres of rich farm land surrounded by a six-foot chain-link fence. Courtyards and play areas are surrounded by six-foot chain-link fencing as well. Your pet has many layers of safety when staying with us.
Appointment Only Arrangements
Drop-offs, pick-ups, and tours are strictly by appointment only. For the safety of our animals, gates are always locked unless we are expecting guests. In addition, we arrange play time and medical treatments when no guests are coming or going. This structure keeps our guests calm and serene. Give us a call (link to contact page), and we’ll make an appointment for you to visit our facility.
Because pets love vacationing at Adneyhaus Private Kennels, give us a call today. We will be happy to make an appointment for a personalized tour or reserve a private kennel experience for your pet.
Storms and Dangerous Weather
We are in attendance during severe weather. Our facility is constructed of reinforced concrete block. And our roof is a commercial-grade, bolted, metal roof. We do everything humanly possible to keep your pet safe.
We ALWAYS stay with the pets during storms. Our presence gives our guests a sense of security that calms them and keeps them safe. Adneyhaus was the sanctuary-shelter of choice for many pet parents during Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Charlie.
NOTE: Please check other clinic boarding policies before you choose where to board your pet. Most clinics require you to sign a waiver, stating “no rescue or evacuation attempts during tornados or hurricanes.” Please understand the full impact of that waiver before you choose a pet boarding facility. At Adneyhaus, we will NEVER leave your pet to brave the elements alone.
Adneyhaus is also safe from flash flooding. The location is on high ground with excellent drainage, so you never have to worry about unsanitary conditions created by flooding.
As you know, in Alabama, winter storms sometimes cause power outages. Without gas heat, many residents are subject to unsafe temperatures. HOWEVER, at Adneyhaus, we use gas heat so that our guests are never left in the cold.
